Personal data that we process

Brandmark Advertising processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide these data to us yourself.

Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

Special and/or sensitive personal data we process

We do not intend to collect data on visitors who are under 16 years old unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children’s online activities, in order to avoid collecting data on children without parental consent. For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data

Brandmark Advertising processes personal data for the following purposes:

  • Sending our (digital) newsletter and/or advertising leaflet
  • Calling or emailing you if necessary to perform our services

  • To deliver goods and services to you
  • Brandmark Advertising analyses your behavior on the website in order to improve the website and tailor the offer of products and services to your preferences.
  • Brandmark Advertising also processes personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as data we need for our tax return.

Automated decision-making

Brandmark Advertising does not, on the basis of automated processing, make decisions about matters that could (significantly) affect individuals. How long we keep personal data

Brandmark Advertising will not keep your personal data longer than strictly necessary to realize the purposes for which your data are collected. We use a standard retention period of 1 year for personal data (personal details, address), for the purpose of contacting you if necessary.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Branded Advertising only provides third parties if and only if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation.

Cookies, or similar techniques, that we use

Branded Advertising uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit this website. Brandmark Advertising uses cookies with a purely technical functionality. These ensure that the website works properly and that, for example, your preferences are remembered for future visits. These cookies are also used to make the website work properly and to optimise it. We do not place cookies (such as a Facebook Pixel code) that track your browsing behaviour in order to offer customised content and advertisements. We use the service/plug-in contactform7 if you contact us via our contact form. We use Google Analytics to measure visits. You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser to stop storing cookies. In addition, you can also delete any information previously stored via your browser settings. For example, you can use Ghostery for this purpose.

View, modify or delete data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your possible consent for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Brandmark Advertising and you have the right to data portability. This means you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold on you in a computer file to you or another organisation named by you.

To ensure that the request for inspection is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

How we secure personal data

Brandmark Advertising takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to counter abuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. We do this with:

  • Security software, such as a virus scanner and firewall.
  • TLS (formerly SSL) We send your data via a secure internet connection. You can see this by the 'https' address bar and the padlock in the address bar.
  • DKIM, SPF and DMARC are three Internet standards we use to prevent you from receiving e-mails on our behalf that contain viruses, are spam or are intended to obtain personal (login) data.
  • DNSSEC is an additional security (complementary to DNS) for converting a domain name (#company_website) to its associated IP address (server name); it is provided with a digital signature. You can have that signature checked automatically. This way, we prevent you from being redirected to a false IP address.
